RCMRD Map Competition 2023 Awards. The awards were presented during the Commission of the RCMRD Complex and Hostel Facility in Nairobi, Kenya. In attendance as Guest of Honour was Kenya's Land Cabinet Secretary (Minister) , 20 Permanent Secretaries from RCMRD Member States, Ambassadors among other dignitaries. The categories and winning entries are listed below:

- Primary School (Euros 2,000) – Winner: Valley Bridge Primary School from Nairobi, Kenya with their entry *** Save the Environment - Two Sides of the Coin ***
- High School (Euros 2,000) – Winner: Shree Swaminarayan Academy from Mombasa, Kenya with their entry *** My Tusks are Valuable ***
• Professional Category
- Land Theme (Euros 2,000) – Frank Anderson from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania with his entry *** Safeguarding Tanzania's Eastern Arc Mountains Forests ***
- Marine Theme (Euros 2,000) – Julius Ivan Ogwang from Kampala, Uganda with his entry *** Restoration of the Protection Zone of Lake Nakivaale, Uganda ***
• Overall Winner
-Dompezodwa Nhlapho from Maseru, Lesotho emerged Overall Winner following the votes of over 3000 people online. She was awarded a cash prize of 4,000 Euros for her entry *** Mapping invasive species in Lesotho Wetlands ***
